===================================================================================================== 04.11.2009 ===================================================================================================== Title : The Acid Trip Filename : AcidTrip.zip Author : Ali Pouladi (Haplo) Contact info : Private message through TTLG forums Date of Release : 04.11.2009 Version : 1.0 ===================================================================================================== * Playing Information * Game : Thief 2: The Metal Age File Name : miss20.mis Difficulty Settings : Yes (varying AI) Equipment Store : No Map : Blank Automap : No New Graphics : Yes New Objects : Yes New Sounds : Yes EAX Support : No Briefing : No * Construction * Base : Dedx base mission Build Time : ~125 hours ===================================================================================================== * Story * For a long time the Thieves Guild have been trying to persuade me to join them. Not that they like me so much, they just don't want to keep losing their best 'business oportunites' without getting back anything in return. So far I have been ignoring them, but when Thom himself invited me to a drink at The Haunted Burrick Tavern my curiosity got the better of me. And I went. But one sip from my drink and I realized I had made a huge mistake. The last thing I remember is seeing the big grin on Thom's face as I hit the ground... ===================================================================================================== * Notes * I wanted to create a mission different from what has been released so far. This topic was particularly difficult because I have never been drunk or used drugs in my life. I had to base the whole thing on my research on the subject. This mission is about symbolism, so don't rush through it. Slow down and ponder at what you see. Each key in the mission is needed only once, so you can safely drop them after use. For the best experience increase the ambient sound volume and enable the weather effects. WARNING: Some of the art used in this mission contain nudity. ===================================================================================================== * Known Issues * - The lighting in some door frames is wrong. I spent a lot of time trying to fix this, but at the end Lord DromEd had his own agenda. ===================================================================================================== * Credits * - Marukpa: The light gem, shields, the doors, the creature skins, the doors, decorating the bedroom and Magritte's room, design ideas and her help with some textures and sound effects. - Surrealistic art by Salvador Dali, René Magritte and Siegfried Zademack. - Psychedelic textures from http://www.allisongregoryfineart.com/, http://digitalart.org/, http://www.webdesign.org/ and Guilherme Marconi. - Music: Anthony Lees - "The Last Ninja" subtune 4 (http://www.lemon64.com/games/details.php?ID=1488) Kenny Rogers - "Just Dropped In" Blood - "Infuscomus" Skiltron - "This Crusade" - Yandros: the bookcases and high resolution talismans. - Jason Otto: the knobless door. - Datoyminaytah: the re-skinable painting. - Rob Hicks: Dedx, Revenant, Chessboard. - DemonReaver: Revenant. - ShadowTemplar: AcidLich. - Schwaa: Oil Lamp. - Voin Eins: CuckooClock, Small Clock and Hourglass. - Komag: His tutorials. - Intruder: Answering more DromEd questions. - People at The Editors' Guild on TTLG forum. * Beta Testers * - Marukpa - Pavlovscat - Thor02 - Potatoguy - Dawggon - Cardia1 - Intruder ===================================================================================================== * Loading Information * Darkloader ready.
